For the next meeting of the BBC we are reading, The Color of Water by James McBride which is also the selection for the Durham reads program. This novel is a moving memoir of a young man and his relationship with his mother. So far, it is moving along quite quickly.

This book made a good meal companion and ocean watching buddy. I loved the way the author gave a good perspective about race, religion, and family. It made me realize that the process of coming home really is about making peace with your past.
