Do your reading habits change in the Spring? Do you read gardening books? Even if you don’t have a garden? More light fiction than during the Winter? Less? Travel books? Light paperbacks you can stick in a knapsack?
Or do you pretty much read the same kinds of things in the Spring as you do the rest of the year?

I do not consciously change my reading habits in the spring. I do find myself reading outside more or wanting to be closer to the windows, so that I can read by natural light. As for the content, I do not notice much variation. When I am reading while on a train, I try to get books that are easy to carry and fit into a bag. Even though I do not like having a big bag, I tend to want my journal and a good book with me at all times. This adds a lot of bulk. Oops, I got off topic!
Generally the first book I begin after finishing a semester is a "light" one to help me decompress from the semester. Although if I am in the mood for or drawn to a book about a heavier subject, I will not hesitate (much) to begin that literary journey. Sometimes, I pick books based on where I will be when I read them. For instance I am going to be in DC this summer; I may pick up a book that is set in the District of Columbia or Maryland.
