Autumn is starting (here in the US, anyway), and kids are heading back to school–does the changing season change your reading habits? Less time? More? Are you just in the mood for different kinds of books than you were over the summer?

Since returning to school two years ago, I find the once the semester begins I tend to only read books that engage me from the beginning. If a book has a slow start, I tend to put it aside until I have more patience.  During the school year, reading is a luxury and a form of stress relief.  If I am not enjoying a book, then I want to move on to something else.  This semester, I started with a very thick novel that is divided into manageable pieces.  This may be the first semester where I only finish one book!
