What Does * Mean? 

In the last post, there was a * which I neglected to explain.

It refers to Dr. B because Brian successfully defended his dissertation!! He is now an official PhD.  Phew-- it is exciting and worthy of mention.  Also, he and Sandi are in Italy for three weeks. 

Last night as I was sleeping, I was thinking about the last thing he said to me about the piggies.  "Loki (the older one) is pretty old and she might die." He said that it was to reassure me that they would not blame me if something happened.  I felt really nervous.  I am doing my first visit tomorrow; if you could please send good thoughts to those piggies to stay alive until their parents came home that would be splendid.

pet sitting means "piggie" sitting? do sandi and dr. b really have pet pigs? are they potbellied pigs? and there's 2? what do they do? post a picture! i'm so intrigued!

They are actually guinea pigs, but they refer to them as "piggies" so I adopted the lingo as well. There are two girls. One is youngin and the other is apparently old.
