The Atlanta Report

My weekend in Atlanta was both social and mellow. I liked getting away and being pampered. Big thank you's are in order for my favorite massage therapist. I got to exhale deeply and enjoy the scents of the farmer's market.  It was fun to get Reshma to meet friends that had heard a lot about her and vice versa.  I found myself giving updates on the following topics frequently: 1. *Sunday* and 2. LSAT. I also talked about exercising and my family.

It was good to get some other's perspectives and to know that it is possible to remain optimistic that things will work out fine even as your life feels as though it is going to shit.  I realized that I am dating a nerd. A huge nerd. In fact so much of a nerd that he is studying the mathematics of friendship. Well more specifically, he is studying the socialization patterns of high school students.  Looking at from that perspective, it does make it easier for me to understand his social awkwardness and non-physical affection.

I miss the food. Good heavens, I just wanted to wrap up the Flying Biscuit and take it home with me.

People seem to be in full bloom.  Everyone seemed very happy and I felt natural being there. This was the first visit in a bit where I felt very sad about leaving. I wanted to stay, but I was also glad to return to the NC.  With the exception of having to wake up early this morning to get to work.

I do feel better. I still do not know what the next step will be for me.  I have an interview on Thursday; keep your fingers crossed. The interview is to be a fellow at the Institute for Political Leadership whose mission is to train political leaders, specifically about running for office. It may be an interesting direction for my life to take.
