Friday Fill-In #72

1. There is absolutely NO way you can get me to give up chocolate completely!
2. Natural Light until 8:00 p.m.  reminds me that summer is almost here!
3. I cannot live without my contact lenses.
4. Growing my own herb garden and making pancakes from scratch are two things I'd like to try.
5. When life hands you lemons run them through your garbage disposal for a fresh scent.
6. Eating fruit with my dad is one of my favorite childhood memory.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to enjoying not having exams, tomorrow my plans include celebrating being out of school by going on a chocolate tour and attending a cheese festival and Sunday, I want to recover from all the chocolate and cheese I ate on Saturday!

you should listen to the Ween album "Chocolate & Cheese" during your choco/cheese tour/fest.
And i would like a crack at getting you to give up chocolate completely. I have a few awful ideas....
and when you say "herb garden"... is this because you are related to Hardeep?

You are terrible with your awful ideas about getting me to give up chocolate. I was thinking about different types of herbs than my brother would enjoy.

How can you call me terrible if you don't even know what my ideas are? Maybe my awful ideas only go so far as to having me go "hey Jaspreet, you should really think about not eating chocolate anymore." That's not so terrible, is it?

Great answer for #2. I currently miss sitting outside at dusk, I always seem to be putting Maya to bed at that time.

You should definitely try making pancakes from scratch, they are so much better than the Biscuik variety, and are pretty easy to do! My favorite is a whole wheat pancake with diced apples, blueberries, or chocolate chips.

I am so jealous of your Saturday plans! Two of my favorite things...chocolate and cheese. Add in a wine tour and it sounds like heaven. :)

Your answer for #5 was the best thing I've heard for when life gives you lemons! So unexpected, yet quite practical. It made me laugh with it's cleverness.

HI Jaspreet, at least chocolate has antioxidants and cheese has calcium. :-) Hope you had fun on your culinary adventures.

Ben: You have lots of tricks up your sleeve; I think you are trying to look good in front of the internet.
Alisia: I have trouble with the flipping motion of the pancakes. Your recipe sounds very yummy.
Sonja: I got that tip from my mother.
June: The culinary adventures were grand. I did not eat very much because I got sick from the heat and had to stop.

Herb gardens are pretty easy...I grow one, successfully, I might add, along with tomatoes (not so successful) and jalapenos (I love fresh salsa!). Thanks for playing :-)

My green thumb is slow to bloom Janet :) I hope that I can be successful someday. Thanks for the encouragement.
