Nice Weather and Flat Feet
Dear Feet:
Today was a BEAUTIFUL day in Seattle. The sun was shining and there was no forecast of hail. Granted, I may have low standards given the recent spell of crappy weather. I wanted to take advantage of the sunshine and the company of a Visitor. We went for a walk through campus and into the Capitol Hill neighborhood. About fifteen minutes into the walk, I got a foot cramp. Fortunately, we were near a park that had a bench. I sat down and tried to rest you in the hopes that I could get re-energized. When I got up again, I did feel better. I walked some more, but I had to move very slowly. For the most part, I do not mind strolling. However, everyone I know walks faster than me and I feel my ego bruise when folks who are much older than I am overtake me.
I am trying to be patient with you. When you cramp up during exercise class, I stop to massage you to make sure we do not get injured. I am thinking about starting to soak my feet every night in addition to massaging them. However, I still feel frustrated when I have limited mobility on beautiful days. I do not want to complain too much because I know that we are both doing the best we can to make sure that you continue to get stronger and feel better. Sometimes, I just need to express my frustration as I continue to walk toward and hope for better days.
With love,
Beastmomma
