The Sunday Salon #30: Man of the House

The Sunday Salon.com

I am very slow with completing books during this LAST year of law school while I am in the midst of wedding planning and daydreaming about making my life in a new state and figuring out how to find and create my dream job, so I thought that it would be fun to have a progress report of my reading. This is an online reading group where all the participants set aside time to read every Sunday and blog about the experience.

Before, I describe my reading process for the day, I want to talk about what I have done over the past few weeks. After missing a few Sunday Salon posts,  I reached a good reading milestone this week.  I finished reading a book I had been working through for almost two months. What the Body Remembers by Shauna Singh Baldwin was a very satisfying read.  You can view my review here

Since the last time I participated in the Sunday Salon, I had my first author interview with Christine Son as part of a book tour.  Off the Menu is a good read and she shared a bit about her writing process. You can see the interview and my review here.

As for today, I continued reading a book that I started on the plane Tuesday night.  Man of the House by Ad Hudler is a funny and insightful look into how a man adjusts to being a stay-at-home dad.  Each chapter of the book is told from the perspective of a different character, I like having the story move forward through the perspective of different characters.  I am hoping to charm the author into letting me interview him; we shall see if that works out.  In the meantime, I am going to tear myself away from the book long enough to read a bit more about trusts and medical liability for my law school classes.
