The Sunday Salon #31: Man of the House Week Two

The Sunday Salon.com

I am very slow with completing books during this LAST year of law school while I am in the midst of wedding planning and daydreaming about making my life in a new state and figuring out how to find and create my dream job, so I thought that it would be fun to have a progress report of my reading. This is an online reading group where all the participants set aside time to read every Sunday and blog about the experience.

It is not technically Sunday for another 45 minutes.  Tomorrow, I am going to try to devote myself to learning trust & estates, so that I do not fail my exam.  As for this week and today, I continued reading Man of the House by Ad Hudler.   The section I am now reading is about the stay-at-home dad is trying to get in touch with his masculine side and the impact the transition is having on his wife and daughter.  One thing I am enjoying is the character development and evolution.

This week, I also created a holiday gift guide. My categories are a bit unusual, but then again, so are my gifts :)  You can view the list here.

I think it is great that you are trying to fit in pleasure reading in between all of your obligations. I was never very good at that when I was attending the university and always ended up suspending the fun reading for the holidays and summers where I'd cram in as much as I could. I think now, if I were back in school, I might do it a little differently.

LF: I struggle all the time with balance and making sure that I am not losing my sanity. Law school is an easy place to lose yourself and I find that reading for pleasure becomes a life line.
