Booking Through Thursday: Trends

Have your book-tastes changed over the years? More fiction? Less? Books that are darker and more serious? Lighter and more frivolous? Challenging? Easy? How-to books over novels? Mysteries over Romance?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The further I move away from my English degree curriculum in college, I find "hard" books to be less intimidating.  I enjoy not feeling the pressure to get the book "right" or to have a brilliant interpretation.  I find that my book choices are dictated by my mood (if I need something light or hefty), book club selections, and reading challenges.  In general, I have not been drawn towards mysterious and I prefer my romances to be not super-cheesy.
I am the same and different, I do as well no longer have the need to perform...but because of that if I don't like a book, there is no need to read it. I have found that there is joy though, in reading....which after so much reading in college, I did not feel for a while!
