A Walk in the Woods-Complete

While I was traveling to and from the DC for the conference, I finished A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson.  It took me awhile to get into the book, but as promised by several folks who are Bryson fans, I laughed out loud.  At several points, I read passages to friends who were nearby.   My favorite character was Katz who is Bryson's traveling buddy.  If I were to go hiking or camping for any extended period of time (by which I mean longer than 2 hours), I would have similar struggle to Katz.  It was great to have Bryson's enthusiasm balanced by someone who was more... reluctant.

This also brings me to the halfway point for the Armchair Traveler Reading Challenge. There are lots of people who have finished already which is really impressive to me.  However, I still have two months in which to make it to the finish line. Hopefully, I will get there soon.
