Jamie Oliver: Happy Days Live

The curry song along makes this worth the rental. Plus, recipe cards are included on the DVD, so you do not have to write down the recipe as he goes along.

The Thomas Crown Affair

Maybe the original was better, but this version made me regret that I chose this as a reward for having a good workout.

Get Smart

How did I end up watching this movie?

Last night, my brother and I were going to see a movie. This was the only one we could agree upon that was still out in the theater.  We postponed our movie outing to this morning in order to make the show.

Which character did I like best in the movie?

The geeky tech guys won my heart.  They were brainy and believed in the goodness of the main character.

What was my favorite quote from the movie?

"The sister is such a bitch." It may not make sense now, but if you saw the movie, you would understand.

What will stick with me from the movie?

The humorous way in which the President was portrayed.

If I could change one thing about the movie, what would it be?

I wish that I had not figured out how the movie was going to end in the first few minutes.

Who would enjoy this movie?

Those who are in need of a few good laughs without having to think too hard.

Which screen is this movie best viewed on?

Either one.

Other comments?

I have not seen the television series, so I cannot speak to how this movie compares.  I may check out the series because I am curious.

The Dark Knight

How did I end up watching this movie?

I was getting together with a friend from law school who suggested we see it.  Even though I felt afraid, I agreed to see the movie because it was supposed to be amazing.

Which character did I like best in the movie?

Alfred, the Butler was my favorite character.  He had a quiet charm about him which made me feel safe every time he was on the screen.

What was my favorite quote from the movie?

I cannot remember a specific quote, but I loved the scene where Batman manuevers his bike to take the Joker's truck.

What will stick with me from the movie?

The image of Dent's face after it is burned.  That shit is REALLY DISTURBING!

If I could change one thing about the movie, what would it be?

I wanted Rachel to be more kick ass. Instead, I felt like she was glorified eye candy.

Who would enjoy this movie?

Fans of the comic book and those who like action movies.  If you enjoy being tense and on the edge for your seat for the entire 2.5 hours, then you would enjoy it as well.

Which screen is this movie best viewed on?

Big screen.

Other comments?

I ended up seeing the screening with the on screen captions.  The audience had a lot of hearing impaired people who did not scream or jump as much as me.  I appreciated that I did not have to worry about ruining the experience for other audience members by my antics.  Although, at one point, my friend turned to me and said, "Stop it! You are freaking me out!"
