Booking Through Thursday-- The End

btt button

I know that I am a day late on this, but vacation took priority.

You’ve just reached the end of a book . . . what do you do now? Savor and muse over the book? Dive right into the next one? Go take the dog for a walk, the kids to the park, before even thinking about the next book you’re going to read? What?

(Obviously, there can be more than one answer, here–a book with a cliff-hanger is going to engender different reactions than a serene, stand-alone, but you get the idea!)

*********************************************************************

These days when I finish a book, I savor and muse over the book. I also try to think about key things I would like to remember and bring out when I write my review.  Sometimes, I feel sad that a good story end.  Other times, I feel relief to FINALLY be finished.  Usually, I know what I am going to read next. However, I give myself a few days before starting something new.  Unless, I am on vacation and have another book waiting in the wings.

I wish sometimes I could wait to start another book, but somehow the reading bug always bites me and makes me get that next book going! LOL

If I am reading books in a series, I roll immediately into the next one while everything is still fresh in my mind. If I am switching genres or subject matter, I try to take a day off to clear the debris.

Charity:If I had more time to read, I would probably dive into the next book.
Aura Mae: I did that when I was listening to/reading the Harry Potter books this summer.
